Typewriter thrift find

I picked up a Royal Quiet Deluxe typewriter at a thrift store. It looks nice and works but the letters don’t line up right on the page. I never had a vintage typewriter before so I'm not sure if this can be fixed with a tune‑up, or is it just how old machines are? Has anyone here fixed one of these? Or is it better to leave it as‑is?

Congrats on the thrift store find! The Royal Quiet Deluxe is a classic! Misaligned letters can sometimes be fixed with a simple tune‑up, especially if the typebars or platen need adjusting. Do you know if the machine has been serviced recently or is this straight from the shop shelf?
