While browsing Amazon, I came across this model: Royal 79101t Classic Manual Typewriter.

Has anyone here tried it? I’m curious if it holds up well for everyday writing or if it’s more of a decorative piece. Would love to hear your thoughts before I take the plunge!

just wanna tell you that these modern Royals are mostly plastic and manufactured in China, so they don’t have that tank feel of the 1950s models
they are okay for light journaling or letters, but if you’re planning on writing a full novel, the key action might feel a bit stiff and mushy compared to a refurbished vintage machine

@Xavier DP that Royal Classic is fine for light journaling and notes, but it won’t feel like the old metal Royals. If you want everyday writing that feels solid, a vintage one with a good refurb is night and day.
