Regular paper causing ink bleed?

Hey everyone! Got a new ribbon on my old machine, but now the ink is bleeding through the paper. I’m just using regular printer paper, could that be the problem? Should I switch to thicker stock? thanks for any suggestions!

I had the same issue with a new ribbon. Swapping to heavier paper helped, and I also let the ribbon sit for a few days before using it again. What kind of ribbon did you install?

Mine does that too! I just started using a new ribbon and noticed it’s super inky. Thicker paper helped, but I also press lighter.

Yes, the regular printer paper is the problem, try switching to a thicker stock, it will help prevent ink bleed through.
