Manual, Electric or Portable?

Hey everyone! I’m new to typewriters and keep spotting manual, electric, and portable models. Which do you prefer? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Portables are great if you like moving around. Many weigh under 10 pounds, so students and journalists loved them back in the day.

Glad you’re here! Manuals are the old-school champs, no plugs required. Electrics came along to make typing smoother on the fingers, and portables are perfect if you want to toss one in a bag and write on the go. Each has its own vibe, I love my portables though!
