I want to change the color of my Olympia SM4 to pink. Found one in green, but wondering how hard it is to repaint. Can I hire someone for this or is it mostly DIY?
I repainted my sister's old SM3 last year and we went with a soft blue. it was a fun DIY project but definitely takes patience. LOTS OF IT. You’ll need to fully disassemble it, sand lightly and use spray paint made for metal. That said, if you want a flawless finish, look up typewriter restorations and custom paint jobs. So yes, DIY is doable, but hiring out can save time and stress!
