New member with a ribbon question

Hi, there.

I have Ideal S&N typewriter and I have trouble inserting new ink. I don't know am I missing some parts or I just don't know how to put everything together. I bought a new ribbon on Amazon, very cheap but I did not took a pic with the last ribbon/

Can you help me, please? I even got a toolbox out :)

Welcome to the forum @prolup an thanks for posting!

Sounds like you’re halfway to being a typewriter mechanic already! The Ideal S&N takes a standard 13mm ribbon. Make sure the ribbon feeds left to right across the vibrator (the little arm that lifts ribbon when you type). If you didn’t save the old spools, you can reuse any compatible ones. Just wind the new ribbon onto them. Let us know if you've resolved this one!

Since ChatGPT tried explaining as well, you might want to check YT videos or screenshots…
 
I get what you mean, @prolup! I don't have a photo now, sorry about that but I think YT videos can be of great help here so you can follow it step by step :)
