@m_jones12 Welcome to the club! Ribbon strikes are the worst kind of labor disputes - no negotiating with a dry ribbon! For most machines, you can't go wrong with genuine ribbon brands though many swear by FJA Products or Ribbons Unlimited for universal ribbons.
The key IMHO is getting the right fabric density - too thin and your typewriter will stage a protest with faint letters, too thick and the keys will jam like they're asking for overtime pay. What machine are you feeding? That'll help narrow down the best ribbon to keep your typewriter happily clacking away!
