I have a brother cassette l10 plus 3 the draw band is tight unbroken, all the keys behave as expected, margins can be set and so forth.
The typewriter types all the letters crisp ink but all in one place. The carriage is failing to move. If I press the release I can see the tab rise and drop but the carriage fails to move.
I can push on the carriage it gives a slight nudge left or right but I do not want to force it. The machine is oil in areas of the carriage track that did nothing to getting the carriage to behave as expected.
I read the manual there is no topic on a 'release' tab as that would have been expected something holding the carriage secure.
Let me know if there is a fix.
