Anyone here owns a Smith-Corona? I just got one from my aunt’s attic. It types fine and I want to keep it that way. I have a question about maintaining it. How often should I oil it, and where exactly? I don’t want to overdo it or miss a spot!

Nice find! My sister has one too. I just give it a light oiling every 6 months or so, mostly around the typebar joints and carriage rails.

don't forget to clean it regularly too. not justthe external, but also the internal components and the type slugs
