finally got my grandad's old Underwood Champion typewriter for my project, but it needs a full restoration!
I'm prepared for the cleaning, ribbons, and tuning. but I got a question about aesthetics, can I replace that gold foil writing, I mean the Underwood logo on the front or back, if it's totally beat up?

You can replace the logo, but it’s usually done with reproduction decals rather than foil. There are sellers who make Underwood water‑slide decals that match the originals pretty closely.
