Affordable repair tools for typewriters

Just joined because I’ve started collecting typewriters, but repairs are adding up fast! My latest find has a broken ribbon advance and squeaky springs. I’d like to learn to fix these myself, but I don’t want to spend a fortune on tools. What’s the most affordable set you’d recommend for beginners? Appreciate any help!

I’m on a tight budget, so I grabbed a cheap jeweler’s screwdriver kit and a pair of needle-nose pliers. That’s been enough to handle squeaky springs and small adjustments on my flea market finds!

@m0nheimm Honestly, you don’t need anything fancy to start. A small jeweler’s screwdriver set, a few needle-nose pliers, and a basic magnifying glass cover most repairs on older machines. Grab a can of contact cleaner or light oil too. It makes a huge difference.
